Swedish Dockworkers Union is an independent union of workers in ports, stevedoring companies and workers in related activities. The union was founded in Örnsköldsvik 1972 and have today 23 locals in Swedish ports and terminals.  The aim for the Swedish Dockworkers Union is to forward the economical, social and cultural interests of its members. Forwarding the employees' corporate influence and a development to the benefit of the employees and the society as a whole are means to accomplish this.
